When I am called to duty, Wherever flames may rage, I will have the strength to save some life, Whatever be its age. I will embrace a child before it's too late, Or save an older person from the horror of that fate. I will be alert and hear the weakest shout, Quickly and efficiently I will put the fire out. Without a mythical being, I don't rely on prayer for safekeeping, Instead I look inside myself for the answers that I need. Out of care for my fellow humans, I do the required deed. I want to give the best in me, To guard my every neighbor and protect their property, And should I happen to perish, I want you to know that I love you, My family, who I cherish . |
